An Egyptian peasant farmer is forced to leave his village for the city in search of better circumstances. While begging, he meets a Al-Manakhily, a con-man who convinces him to take up business running a liver cart. This is his first step into a life of fraud and corruption as he dreams of going to American and one day even visiting the U.S. Congress.
