Biography
Jenni Poikelus (born 6 January 1988 in Tampere) is a Finnish radio journalist, television presenter and scriptwriter. She has worked for the YleX radio station since June 2012. Initially she worked as an intern, but since 2013 she has been co-hosting an evening show with Alma Hätönen. Later they had their own afternoon programme called "Poikelus and Hätönen". The programme ended on 21 December 2018 after Hätönen left Yle.
Poikelus co-hosts "Poikelus, Pehkonen and Parikka" together with Mika Parikka and Jere Pehkonen on YleX every morning.
Poikelus was a panellist on YLE TV2's Villi kortti programme. She also appears in short sketches on the programme. She was selected as Media Personality of the Year 2018 at the Industry Awards Gala held in conjunction with the Music & Media Professional Event in Tampere on 5 October 2018. Poikelus has also participated in Suurmestari (2020).
Poikelus graduated in 2013 from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences with a degree in Media Studies.
