"Corazón salvaje" is the first screen adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Caridad Bravo Adams and published in 1957. The story takes place on the Caribbean island of Martinique, at the beginning of the 20th Century and describes the lives of two half-brothers involved in the entanglements of a frivolous and calculating young woman.
