From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Abby Dalton (born August 15, 1935) is an American actress. Born as Marlene Wasden in Las Vegas, Nevada, she has made numerous appearances on television, including the recurring role of "Julia Cumson" on Falcon Crest. Dalton's character was fist-fought over by James Garner and Clint Eastwood in the "Duel at Sundown" episode of Maverick. She played a nurse on Hennesey with Jackie Cooper and portrayed Joey Bishop's wife on The Joey Bishop Show, a situation comedy on NBC and CBS from 1961–1965. As the Hennessey series was coming to a close, The Joey Bishop Show was preparing for its premiere on NBC. Dalton played the role of Ellie Barnes, the wife of Joey Barnes (Joey Bishop), on the program. As the show premiered on September 15, 1962, Dalton and Bishop are shown as newlyweds Ellie and Joey Barnes. Hennessey's series finale program was aired two days later, on September 17, 1962, with nurse Martha Hale's (Dalton) marriage to Chick Hennessey (Jackie Cooper). Dalton married two different television characters on two different networks within two days.
She was also a semi-regular panelist on Match Game and appeared in the early years of Hollywood Squares. She also guest-starred on the interview program Here's Hollywood.
