Mayumi Watanabe (渡辺 真由美, Watanabe Mayumi, February 5, 1964) is an animator and illustrator and character designer Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Her real name is Mayumi Iwakawa (岩川 真由美). Her husband is Saburō Ōmiya (大宮 三郎, Ōmiya Saburō), a former producer of Trinet Entertainment. She graduated from . After graduating from Funabashi Municipal High School in 1982, she joined Ashi Productions, but left the company early and transferred to Kaname Production. In addition to being in charge of videos and video checks for Plawres Sanshiro, original drawings for Fist of the North Star, Transformers: Scramble City and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, she worked as an animation director and character designer for Kimagure Orange Road and Mujigen Hunter Fandora. After the dissolution of Kaname Production, she became a freelancer in the anime industry. In addition to continuing with her activities, she also worked as a director of Studio Aimaru.
