Shannon Hottes is an Australian actress born in Gosford, New South Wales, and raised on the Central Coast by her separated parents spending most of her time with her mother Kym Campbell who worked various jobs to keep the house going. Her Father Wayne Hottes worked as a tire delivery truck driver most of his life. Shannon attended Gorokan high school, though she didn't graduate leaving in the second semester of year 10 due to bullying, at 16 she enrolled at Coastal college to do a diploma in beauty therapy which she completed 18 months later. Shannon first found her love for film and television onset for Underbelly: A tale of two cities (2008) Shannon moved around the country a lot living in major cities like Sydney and Melbourne and remote towns like Karratha, she decided to make the move from Perth to the Gold Coast to be closer to her mother and pursue her acting career.
